This changes the category of some messages to match the class in which they are defined. It also adds a unit test to prevent categories from spanning multiple files in future. git-svn-id: https://svn.forgerock.org/opendj/trunk@2325 41b1ffd8-f28e-4786-ab96-9950f0a78031

Synopsis: import-ldif could allow to write skipped entries to a specified file Proposed solution ------------------------------- I've added an option to the import tool so that the skipped entries (the entries that do not match criteria) are logged in a given file if required. Additionally the option -O, --overwriteRejects has been renamed into: -O, --overwrite. This option is now common to both reject file and skip file. Indeed if a user wants to append or overwrite a reject file, it is likely that he wants the same for the skip file. The new option is -K (--skipFile), the updated option is -O (--overwrite) The usage: This utility may be used to import LDIF data into a Directory Server backend Usage: java org.opends.server.tools.ImportLDIF {options} where {options} include: -V, --version Display Directory Server version information ... -R, --rejectFile {rejectFile} Write rejected entries to the specified file -K, --skipFile {skipFile} Write skipped entries to the specified file -O, --overwrite Overwrite an existing rejects and/or skip file rather than appending to it ... git-svn-id: https://svn.forgerock.org/opendj/trunk@2323 41b1ffd8-f28e-4786-ab96-9950f0a78031 -

The problem was that because of some tests running before this test they were changes in the replication server when this test was run. The test now open a first session to read the serverState of the replication server then open a second session using this serverState as its own. git-svn-id: https://svn.forgerock.org/opendj/trunk@2318 41b1ffd8-f28e-4786-ab96-9950f0a78031

forgiving with target ranges that are out of the bounds of the actual result set. Negative target offsets will still result in errors, but a target offset of zero will be treated as if it were one. If beforeCount is greater than or equal to the target offset, then it will now be truncated. If the target offset or assertion value is beyond the end of the result set, then only the before count entries will be returned and the target position will be set to one greater than the content count. contain controls. Previously, the server would only strip out any response controls, but this is likely to hide problems and/or create debugging difficulty, so the requests will now be rejected and the associated connection terminated. Also fixed the -o outputfile option, which was ignoring the specified filename and incorrectly wrote the output to the current working directory using the default filename (output). Lastly, added a boolean param to mainSearch (similar to the other tools), selecting if server initialization should be performed or not. This was needed so the unit test would run properly. git-svn-id: https://svn.forgerock.org/opendj/trunk@2289 41b1ffd8-f28e-4786-ab96-9950f0a78031

In the solveNamingConflict method, the case when the entry has been deleted was not correctly tested, thus leading to a NullPointerException, The fix is simply to return since when the entry has already been deleted there is not need to change its name anymore. A test for this case has also been added. git-svn-id: https://svn.forgerock.org/opendj/trunk@2280 41b1ffd8-f28e-4786-ab96-9950f0a78031

password policy state attributes that were not previously updated. strings will perform more strict checking to ensure that the attribute description in a simple filter contains only valid characters. This will catch filters that are invalid but were not properly rejected, like "((uid=user.0))", "(&&(uid=user.0))", or "!uid=user.0". Add a "Finish" step to the graphical upgrade, setup and uninstall. Issue 1325: Update quicksetup to integrate common install scenario These modifications allow to configure replication in the graphical setup. Issue 1850: consider replication for uninstall and cancel install These modfications allow to cancel the modifications done in remote servers during the install when the user clicks on cancel. Issue 1863: combine Web Start upgrade and install into one tool These modifications allow to launch an application that combines both install and upgrade. Note: because of some problems with the total update (see Issue 1893) the administration suffix is configured with its own database so a new directory has been created in the installation (adminDb). If we consider that is not a good idea to have a separate database this will be updated in the future once 1893 is fixed. The directory must be created during installation because in some case the Administration configuration is created using LDAP and remotely when installing a new server (and in this case we have no access to the fiel system of the firstly installed server). git-svn-id: https://svn.forgerock.org/opendj/trunk@2257 41b1ffd8-f28e-4786-ab96-9950f0a78031
